Baked Potatoes

Boil ’em, mash ’em, stick ’em in a stew! I don’t care how you fix them potatoes are a staple for me as a gluten free girl. I decided that I would share my adventure of baking a few spuds and let you in on all the secret tips and tricks.

What You’ll Need:

  • Potatoes (as if that wasn’t already obvious enough)
  • Tin Foil (or super conveniant tin foil sheets)
  • An oven for baking
  • You know, other kitcheny goods

The Procedure:

First thing’s first preheat your oven to 375°

Take your unruly spuds over to the sink and wash them off so that there is no dirt. It doesn’t take much just make sure they are properly cleaned.

Once they have had their bath, roll the potatoes in a nice foil blanky so that they are all ready for their nap in the oven.

Bake them for 45 minutes, or until they give slightly when squeezed (with an oven mitt on, please don’t accidentally burn your hand off with a hot potato by squeezing it with your bare hand!). Take them out and let them cool for ten minutes and serve them while they’re hot!

You can serve them with cheese, sour cream and bacon, or with grilled chicken and Asiago, or even just plain old butter. Really, the sky is the limit with baked potatoes.
